Showcase at OBF Music Festival
Apply now for the opportunity to perform at Ode to the Black Fiddler Music Festival, taking place on August 20, 2022 at The Bronx Brewery.
Whether this is your first time or you’ve been with us before, we invite prospective string musicians and ensembles from all over the world to perform in front of industry professionals and excited New York City fans.

All genres (Classical, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Latin, Blues, Electronic, Experimental etc.)

Solo acts and/or ensembles (max. 4) - Ensemble must include at least one member who plays a string instrument.

Artists from any part of the world, who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Color). For ensembles, at least 50% of group members must be from the BIPOC community.

Selected artists are guaranteed one official OBF showcase performance.

Showcase slots run an average of 30 minutes (some exceptions may apply).

Showcases will take place on Saturday, August 20, 2022 in the Bronx, New York. Rain date is scheduled for Saturday, September 10, 2022.

OBF Music Fest does not provide artist backline or cover travel and accommodation expenses.

Artists who are not U.S. residents are responsible for securing their own visas for entry into the United States.

All OBF showcasing artists must agree to the OBF Exclusivity Policy, which includes the following points: (a) Artist’s official OBF Showcase is their first performance priority (b) Artist will not perform any non-OBF shows that OBF deems to be a conflict and/or adversely affects OBF 2022 (c) Artist will not take actions that undermine the success or inhibit attendance of Artist’s official OBF showcase, including, without limitation, accepting invitations for an excessive number of non-OBF shows. Such actions negatively impact OBF artist performances, showcase attendance, and the overall quality of showcases.

The person listed as Primary Contact in your OBF Music Festival Showcase Application should be someone authorized to respond on behalf of the act applying and who frequently checks their email. Notifications from OBF will be sent to the Primary Contact email address, and will require a timely response. Please provide the information below to apply as an OBF 2022 Featured Artist. The OBF Committee will review your application, and you will be notified regarding whether or not you have been selected to perform on or before June 30th, 2022.
