Service Description

Enjoy personalized, one-on-one, music lessons with a highly trained IAH Studio Instructor. Pay as you go (per lesson) or save more when you pay for lessons per month, receiving weekly, recurring lessons at IAH Studio's Bronx location. **Students in grades PreK through 12th are eligible for single-lesson enrollment only during the Summer season, June - August.** Age: 21 years old and under; and not attending a college/university Type: Private Lessons Duration: 45 minutes Location: IAH Studio, Bronx, New York (exact address will be provided once tuition payment is submitted). What do lessons entail? -Bow Fundamentals and left hand technique. -Development of music reading skills. -Practical applications of music theory. -lessons tailored to student’s learning style. -Opportunities to explore a variety of musical genres including classical, popular and cultural music. -Opportunities to learn pieces by women and composers of color. -Community concerts and performance opportunities.

Cancellation Policy

Students must cancel lessons by phone or email with at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations are considered excused for illness, family emergency or severe weather (public school closures). Only 3 excused cancellations will be allowed per academic semester (Every 4 months). Excused cancellations with sufficient notification will be given a make-up lesson within the month. If a student cannot attend a scheduled make-up lesson, the lesson will be considered forfeited. After 3 excused cancellations, further cancelled lessons will be considered forfeited and will not be given make-up lessons. No-shows or cancellations without sufficient notification will not be given make-up lessons. Lessons missed by the student with or without notice will not be refunded for any reason. Lessons cancelled by the teacher, due to illness, family emergency or performance engagements, will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time, or credit will be given towards next month's tuition. If a student cancels or misses a scheduled make-up lesson, then it will not be rescheduled.
