Registration reserves a student's lesson time, day and teacher each week. Tuition can be paid as you go, per lesson, or as a bundle package with a monthly fixed rate.
We don’t operate like a traditional music school. You can rest easy knowing that we give you the flexibility to begin and end lessons any time during the year so you’re never locked into a long-term contract.
Private Lessons (Age 4+/Any Level) focus primarily on technique and repertoire as well as musicianship and creative skills.
Lessons are offered all year round. PreK-12 grade students must register for at least one semester (4 months) of lessons. Adult students, older than 18, can register and pay per class at any time. Summer lessons will be offered on a more flexible schedule, taking into account vacations and other trips. Students in grades PreK-12 are eligible for single lesson enrollment June through August. PreK-12 grade students, who plan on continuing lessons in the fall, are required to register for a minimum of (3) classes during the summer season.
Lessons are given weekly in 30, 45 and 60 minute lengths throughout the school year and summer. Lessons are either held virtually, at private studio in the Bronx, NY or students may request for lessons to be given in their own homes, for a higher rate.
IAH Studio offers group lessons through our pilot program, Young Minds Create Music (YMCM). YMCM offers a virtual 32 week course (Falls and Spring Semester) of small group instruction for children ages 6-15, Beginner-Intermediate level.
At the end of each semester, the program culminates with a free community performance in December (Fall Semester) and June (Spring Semester) to showcase student achievement. Designed to develop musicianship, violin technique fundamentals and teamwork through peer interaction, the YMCM program will emphasize learning about and performing works by string musicians and composers of color. In addition, students will be required to attend 3 out of the 4 IAH Studio produced master classes, workshops and faculty performances throughout the year to increase participation and exposure to string music.
The program will operate every Saturday from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, in three groups--Group A beginning from 10 AM - 11 AM, Group B from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM and Group C from 1:00 PM - 2 PM. Supplementary activities such as master classes, workshops and faculty performances will also be held on Saturdays between 5 PM - 7 PM.
